Congratulations, hero! You battled, roleplayed, explored, survived (or gloriously died)—and because of that, your character has grown stronger. At Volaire, characters gain Experience Points (XP) for participating in events and contributing to the game in meaningful ways.

What’s a “Blanket” of Experience?

Every event you:

• Pre-register
• Participate in
• Monster for

...you will receive a guaranteed “Blanket” of Experience Points. This XP is awarded automatically, regardless of whether your character triumphed in battle or napped in the bushes all weekend.

Think of a Blanket as your base XP gain per event, tied to your character's current level.

How Much Blanket XP Do I Get?

Your level at the start of the event determines how much Blanket XP you receive.

Other Ways to Earn XP

In addition to your Blanket, you can gain extra XP through:

• Completing Plot Tasks – Special objectives from the Plot Team
• Donating Money or Supplies – Approved contributions to help the game thrive
• Extraordinary Player (EP) Awards – Given to those who go above and beyond
• Roleplay Contributions – Submitting outstanding character stories, journals, or lore
• Volunteering Time & Energy – Helping with setup, teardown, or in-between events

How Do I Level Up?

Your character’s Level is determined by:

Total XP ÷ 100 (rounded down)

Example: If you have 1,735 XP, your character is: Level 17
