Smoking/Vaping at Events

At Volaire, we want every player to enjoy their weekend—whether they smoke or not. To help make that possible, we ask all players who smoke or vape to follow a few simple guidelines.

Designated Smoking Areas

Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas. These spots will be clearly marked, easy to find, and—rest assured—smoker friendly.

If you're unsure where to go, ask a staff member during check-in.

Walking While Smoking

We get it—sometimes you're mid-walk and mid-smoke. That’s okay as long as you’re respectful of those around you:

• Don’t smoke near groups of non-smokers.
• Keep your distance during In-Play scenes, especially crowded ones.
• Be mindful of the wind—no one wants a face full of surprise strawberry cloud.

Butt Etiquette: "Policing Your Butts"

This one’s important. Do not flick your cigarette butts into the woods, the field, or anywhere else.

• Fully extinguish the cherry.
• Stow the butt in your pocket, pouch, or other container until you can find a trash bin or smoking area ashtray.

Butt-littering will result in disciplinary action. Yes, really.

We're lucky to have access to outdoor venues—help us keep them clean, safe, and available.

Vaping Policy

Yes, your vape smells like mango cupcakes and unicorn dreams. That doesn’t mean everyone wants to smell it.

For the purpose of this policy, vaping falls under the same rules as smoking. That means:

• Use designated areas when possible.
• Avoid blowing clouds near other players—especially in tight quarters or In-Play scenes.
• Be respectful with your distance, especially indoors or near food.

Final Word from Staff

We’d really hate to have to ban smoking or vaping entirely—but if it becomes a problem, we’ll do what we must. And that will make staff... very grouchy.

So please: Be cool, don’t hover, don’t litter, and respect your fellow adventurers.
